Our highly skilled nurses and caregivers treat each child with compassion and dignity. Loretta's Little Miracles is committed to listening to each parent's concerns and treating each child with love and respect.
Our services include: · Daily assessment and documentation of each child’s current state of health. For the well being of all the children, it is necessary to separate ill children who are contagious and must return home as to not expose the other kids attending the day care.
· Each child is taught proper hand washing technique and is supervised at the start of each day at the hand washing station to prevent the spread of germs and infections.
· Basic hygiene skills are practiced is provided as needed for each child. · Kids are also provided with a healthy snack to continue their nutritional education and help the national epidemic of high-fat, high-sugar and caffeinated diet that adversely affect our little miracles.
· Children are allotted 30-60 minutes of quiet, peaceful rest time to aide in the digestion of their nutritional snack and prevent gastric upset. Although Loretta’s Little Miracles does not promote extended TV watching, this rest period may include watching age appropriate Disney movies for limited amounts of time to stimulate the children during their resting digestive process.
· Children then proceed to the quiet active activity room where each child has an individual engaging activity such as board games, puzzles, play dough, water colors, etc. If children have homework, this is the time for a staff nurse to assist the child with their homework.
· After completing their individual quiet active activity, children are given group time in the reading room where they are exposed to a group activity discussion on weather, days of the week, seasons of the year, etc. There is also the opportunity for them to have an adult read them a story out loud, listen to music, or look at art.
· Now the children are ready for active play time in the facility’s customized open play area. This will include organized games, stretching/flexibility, aerobics, dance and other isometric activities. Call for an appointment

A typical day at Loretta’s Little Miracles:
· Visitors to the facility are greeted by a staff member who will assist the needs of the family. For the protection of the child, each child must be signed in and out by an authorized guardian. Loretta’s Little Miracles is a locked facility to prohibit unwanted visitors from accessing the premises.
· Children will visit the kitchen area where they are encouraged to drink water in an effort to educate each child on the importance of hydration. As a school nurse, Loretta saw a number of children suffer from headaches, constipation and impaired cognitive abilities as a result of dehydration.
· After their physical education, children are once again re-hydrated, given another nutritious snack and given a passive activity to allow time for digestion. After their rest period, each child is given the proper hygiene and access to the restroom facilities. As the day is winding down, the staff aides each child in organizing their backpacks and preparing them to return home to their loved ones.
